1. Getting Started
System Requirements
To use WhatsApp Web, you need:
An active WhatsApp account on your smartphone.
A stable internet connection on both your phone and your computer.
A modern web browser (Google Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, or Safari).
Linking Your Device (Step-by-Step)
Open your computer's browser and go to

Navigate to Settings (iOS) or More Options (three dots on Android).
Tap Linked Devices > Link a Device.
Point your phone’s camera at your computer screen to scan the QR code.
Once scanned, your chats will sync automatically.
2. Navigating the Interface
The screen is divided into two main sections:
Left Panel: Contains your chat list, your Profile Picture (Settings), Status icon, New Chat icon, and the Menu (three dots/down arrow).
Right Panel: The active chat window where messages appear.
3. Core Features
Sending Messages and Media
Text: Click on a contact in the left panel, type in the bottom bar, and press Enter.
Attachments: Click the Paperclip icon (Attach) next to the text bar. You can send Photos, Videos, Documents, or Contacts.
Voice Notes: Click the Microphone icon to record.
Voice and Video Calls
Calls are available on the WhatsApp Desktop App, but for the Web version, support varies by browser.
Open a chat with the person you want to call.
Click the Video Call icon or Voice Call icon at the top right of the chat window.
Managing Status Updates
Click the Circle icon (Status) at the top of the left panel to view your contacts' updates. You cannot currently upload a status from the web version; this must be done on your phone.
4. Settings and Security
Enabling Dark Mode
Click the Menu icon (three dots or down arrow) above your chat list.
Select Settings > Theme.
Choose Dark and click OK.
Logging Out
From the Computer: Click the Menu icon > Log out.
From your Phone: If you forget to log out on a public computer, open WhatsApp on your phone > Linked Devices > Tap the device (e.g., Google Chrome) > Log Out.
