1. Getting Started

Creating Your Account

  1. Go to www.alignable.com.

  2. Enter your Work Email and click Join Now.

  3. Follow the prompts to enter your First Name, Last Name, and Business Name.

  4. Location Matters: Enter your business zip code. Alignable uses this to connect you with owners in your specific local community.

Setting Up Your Business Profile

Your profile is your digital storefront. To edit:

  1. Click on your Profile Picture in the top right corner.

  2. Add a Logo: Ensure your brand is recognizable.

  3. Write a Bio: Keep it concise. Explain what problem you solve for your customers.

  4. Ideal Customer: Be specific about who you want to meet (e.g., "I am looking to connect with real estate agents in Raipur").


2. Building Your Network

Connecting with Local Businesses

  1. Navigate to the My Network tab.

  2. Use the Local Map or list to see neighboring businesses.

  3. Click Connect. It is best practice to include a short, personal note explaining why you’d like to network.

Joining Groups

Groups allow you to network by industry rather than just geography.

  1. Click on Groups in the top navigation bar.

  2. Search for interests (e.g., "Freelance Writers" or "Digital Marketing").

  3. Click Join to participate in discussions.


3. Generating Referrals

Recommendations

Recommendations are the "currency" of Alignable.

  • To Give: Go to a connection’s profile and click Recommend. Write a brief note about their reliability or service.

  • To Receive: Don't be afraid to ask! Send a polite message to past collaborators asking for a recommendation on the platform.

The Referral Center

This tool tracks who is sending business your way. Access it via the Referrals tab to manage your incoming leads and outgoing suggestions.


4. Engaging the Community

Advice Forum

  1. Go to the Home Feed.

  2. Click Ask the Community.

  3. Post a question about business challenges (e.g., "What is the best accounting software for a small agency?").

  4. Answering others' questions builds your status as an expert.


5. Privacy and Settings

  • Email Notifications: Alignable sends many emails by default. Go to Settings > Notifications to choose which alerts you want to receive.

  • Visibility: You can choose to make your profile public (visible on Google) or private (only visible to Alignable members) under Account Settings.
